Summary: Executive Directors are on yearly contracts that represent the salary schedules and terms of employment. Pursuant to Government Code 54953, as amended by SB 1436 (Ch. 175, Statutes of 2016), the Board must orally report, in an open session, a summary of the recommendation for final action on the salary and/or benefits of a "local agency executive," as defined in Government Code 3511.1, including a deputy, associate, or assistant superintendent; a department head; and any other person whose position within the district is established through an employment contract with the district.
