Summary:

Tahoe Truckee Unified School District (TTUSD) and Tahoe Truckee Teacher's Association (TTEA) presented their initial proposals for negotiations to each other at the January 20, 2021 Board meeting. The proposals outline changes to the contractual agreement between TTEA & TTUSD.
A complete copy of the existing contractual agreement is available for public review on the TTUSD website or at the District office of TTUSD located at 11603 Donner Pass Road, Truckee California. Government Code mandates that school districts make public the topics of discussion during negotiations. When proposals are first submitted they must be placed on the Board's regular agenda for review and this was done January 20, 2021.
At a subsequent meeting the Board must hold a public hearing in order to take input from the public on the proposal(s). The purpose of this evening's hearing is to solicit and receive public comment on these proposals. Written comments on either proposal may be addressed to the Board of Trustees c/o Carmen Ghysels 11603 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, CA 96161.

Recommendation:

Staff recommends that the Board accept public comment regarding the initial bargaining proposals for TTUSD & TTEA negotiations for the 2020-2021 negotiations sessions and upon completion of the Hearing, direct staff to initiate negotiations in a timely manner.
